Galviacare Hospital
Further to the recent media coverage of surgeries now being able to offer face to face appointments, we would like to confirm we are still continuing face to face appointments as we have been throughout the pandemic. An initial telephone consultation with a clinician will still be offered before a face-to-face appointment is made.
No abuse of our staff will be tolerated under any circumstances and may result in removal from the patient list.
We are here to help you. Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone and you will be advised on the best approach for you. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery. You can also call NHS (0312) 288 6888. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment. If you are waiting for a check-up, please be assured we will be in touch.
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms.
Stay at home for 10 days if you or a member of your household have either:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Face coverings are still required for all staff, patients and visitors to the practice after 19th August.
